Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does Children’s Journey offer a discount for families with more than one child?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount for siblings enrolled in our program.
Is Children’s Journey open on weekends?
No. Children’s Journey is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Does Children’s Journey offer special rates for low-income families?
No, but we know of services that can help with funding. We offer contact information for those services when parents come for a tour of the facility.
Are your staff members certified in infant & child CPR and first aid?
Yes, we are. We update our training every 2 years, as recommended. Your child’s safety is always a top priority at our center.
Do you use corporal punishment?
NO! We do not and have never used corporal punishment. If behavioral issues arise, we work with parents to find a solution that will help their child grow.
Are you a licensed facility?
Yes, we are licensed by the state of California. We have two licenses, one for each of our programs (Infant & Toddler Program and Preschool Program).
Do I have to pay tuition when my child is sick, on vacation, or when Children’s Journey is closed?
Unfortunately, yes, tuition is still due regardless of absences due to illness, vacation, or Children’s Journey holidays.
Does Children’s Journey have a high turnover of staff?
Because we keep our teacher-to-child ratios low, our staff turnover is quite low. We have staff members who have been at this facility for over 20 years. We strive to take care of our staff so that they in turn can take excellent care of the children at our center.
How do you prevent strangers from entering the site?
To enter rooms and playgrounds, one must first walk through a lobby area staffed by two employees who have experience in the procedures of handling visitors. This may include checking child records to verify the visitor’s information.
Are you closed on school holidays?
We are closed for national holidays.
